Where's the crab?

Taken on 10 April, 2010 at Gudladona, Nellore Dist.

A beautiful climber with a fruit that looks like the claw of a fiddler crab.

I will be updated about the identity of this beauty. I have contacted http://www.flowersofindia.net for the identification.

Got a reply from Flowers of India. They said "Your creeper is Pergularia (Pergularia daemia), called Dustapuchettu or Jittupaku in Telugu" http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Pergularia.html

A medicinal plant of which every part has some curative property...the main being its hepatoprotective property.
