Traffic Stopper

Taken on June 19, 2010 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Hymenocallis littoralis or the Beach Spider Lily blooms from mid-summer to late autumn with white flowers which are large, white and tantalizing-fragrant vanilla scented. A sure traffic stopper in any garden! Spider lilies are perfect around water features in the landscape.

Spider Lilly, the name doesn't do justice to this gorgeous creation of nature.

Nice picture. Stopping down the EV by 0.5 - 1 would have brought out the features very clearly...beautiful nonetheless :)
