Austrogomphus guerini, the yellow striped hunter, is a slow and lethargic dragonfly that is relatively easy to photograph.
Dragonfly's are know by other strange sounding names...'Darner', 'Devil's Arrow' and 'Devil's darning needle' but these harmless insects have been my childhood playmates.
